We are thrilled that you are interested in educating and sharing your knowledge with our network at The Arc’s 2015 National Convention. The Convention will be held Saturday, October 3rd through Monday, October 5th at Indianapolis Marriott Downtown in Indianapolis, IN.
Our goal is to create an experience that inspires and empowers, features interactive and engaging learning, and highlights exceptional programs and innovations.
Proposals will be reviewed by the Convention Program Review Team and selected based on the following guidelines:
- Presenter(s) have exemplary credentials or experience for presenting on the topic and can demonstrate an effective and interactive mode of presentation.
- Content demonstrates innovative and promising practices that are replicable and which reflect community based inclusive practices.
- Content should embody The Arc’s Core Values and content must align with The Arc’s Position Statements.
All proposals will be rated, ranked and selected by the review team. Tentative timeline for submissions and selection process can be seen below:

STEPS FOR SUBMITTING A PROPOSAL:
Step 1: Create a user account.
Step 2: Complete the online application.
You will be asked to enter the following information:
- Enter a title for your presentation (you can go back and change this at any time).
- Presenter(s) Information – Name(s) of the individual(s) presenting. If you are the person organizing and not actually presenting you will also be asked to enter your information.
- Session Proposal – Description for your session, topic, audience, session format, session style, etc.
- Additional Information – Provide information on what attendees will gain from your session, submit a short video.
- Terms & Conditions – Review and agree to presenter terms and conditions.
Step 3: When you have completed all tasks, click on “Submit Proposal.”
As a reminder, you can go back and add, change, or delete information on or before the May 8, 2015 deadline.
