CALL FOR LIVE LEARNING CENTER COURSE SUBMISSIONS
Welcome to the 2015 Call for Live Learning Center Course Submissions!

The AAE Live Learning Center (LLC) is a distance learning platform that provides endodontists and other dental professionals access to the most reliable online endodontic education.

The AAE invites dental professionals (members and nonmembers) to submit a continuing education course as an addition to the library of content. Submitting an online CE course provides an opportunity to share knowledge and contribute to one of the premier sources of endodontic education in the world.

There is a limit of six submissions per calendar year on the LLC. Submissions will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Submissions will be reviewed by the Editorial Board which consists of an editor and reviewers. The AAE’s Continuing Education Committee Chair serves as the editor, and committee members serve as reviewers. Each submitted course will be reviewed by three reviewers, the editor and possibly other AAE members depending on course content.

The primary author of the submission will be notified of the status via e-mail after it has been reviewed. Courses that are posted on the AAE LLC will undergo periodic review by the AAE’s Continuing Education Committee to determine relevance and consistency with current knowledge/research, and may be updated, removed, or archived.

Should you have co-authors, you will need to add them to the proposal in the first task and use the second task to send them an email with a login link. They must complete profile information, a disclosure, and acknowledge the author conditions. Co-authors should not create a submitter account with the buttons on this page. They must access their task list through the email generated by the system.

Submitting Courses
Originality and Exclusivity
The AAE will consider only courses that are submitted exclusively to the AAE and have not been presented elsewhere in the exact format submitted to the AAE. The AAE will ultimately determine whether a submitted course is original and exclusive. Related information can be located under the Live Learning Center Author Conditions.

Authors
If a primary author indicates co-author(s) to their submission, the primary author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors complete profile information, disclosure information, and acknowledge the author conditions before the submission is complete.

Content
Courses must be educational in content and free from commercial or promotional bias. Topics may be clinical or scientific in nature; however, current topics of general interest, such as practice management or quality of life issues are welcome.

Courses will be placed in one or more of the topic categories identified below. Authors should indicate the category of their course during the submission process; however, the AAE may deem the course better suited to another category.
  1. Diagnosis
  2. Endodontic Materials
  3. Nonsurgical Endodontics
  4. Pain Management
  5. Practice Management
  6. Regenerative Endodontics
  7. Surgical Endodontics
  8. Trauma
Length
Submitted courses should be either 60 or 90 minutes of instructional time, including the time for a participant to complete test questions, as approximated by the author. The AAE will determine the final number of CE hours awarded for each course based on the length of time it would require a learner to complete the course and breadth of content material. Courses longer than 90 minutes may be broken down into separate modules. Submitted file size is limited to 200 MB.

Format
Accepted formats:
  1. Manuscript (like JOE and Colleagues; must follow Journal of Endodontics manuscript submission guidelines)
  2. Keynote/PowerPoint® PDF only (detailed, standalone slide presentation)
  3. Keynote/PowerPoint® with audio (format must be streaming media ready to be posted to LLC)
Submission Components
Submissions that do not include all of the components below will be returned to the author and will not be reviewed until all components are complete. For manuscripts, please refer to the guidelines for publishing papers in the Journal of Endodontics.
