Instructions for Abstract Reviewers:
Abstracts should be reviewed for their scientific merit and their relevance to the broad field of vaccine research. Abstracts should clearly state the hypothesis being tested or the issue under investigation; identify the experimental and statistical methods used; indicate specific findings (statements such as “the data will be presented,” are unacceptable); and offer specific conclusions (statements such as “the results will be discussed,” are unacceptable).

Online Review Steps:

1. In the “REVIEWS” section, click “1. Click here to begin reviewing.”
2. The first abstract for review will appear.
3. If you have a conflict of interest reviewing the abstract please select “Abstain from Review” at the top of the score sheet located in the right hand side of the screen.
4. Use the drop down menu and check boxes at the right side of your screen to score the abstract.
5. You have the option of selecting flags or include additional comments.
6. Click “Submit Review” to move to the next abstract for review.
7. Upon completing all assigned reviews, you will return to the home page.
8. If you wish to review your scores click “View a summary of your reviews”.

Note: You may leave and return to the Abstract Review Site at any time before the deadline to complete your assigned reviews.

Offline Review Steps:

1. In the “REVIEWS” section, click on “1. Click here to begin reviewing.”
2. On the left hand side of the screen, click on the download button (image with an arrow).
3. You can then print off all of your assigned abstracts to review.
4. Once you have completed your review return to the Review Site and click on “1. Click here to begin reviewing” and you can enter scores as indicated in the Online Review Steps.
