Welcome to the 2019 CGEA Regional Meeting

Central Group on Educational Affairs (CGEA)
Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC)
CGEA Spring Conference 2019
March 27-29, 2019
Hosted By: Michigan State University College of Human Medicine
DeVos Place Convention Center-Amway Grand Plaza
Grand Rapids, MI
NOTE: Thursday and Friday, with pre-conference activities on Wednesday

Using a variety of learning strategies, this conference aims to establish a forum for disseminating best practices in medical education and to equip medical educators with the necessary skills to develop, implement, and maintain successful curricular programs at all levels of training. The CGEA invites abstracts for the following presentation types for the 2019 meeting:

- Oral Abstracts
- Posters
- Small Group Discussions
- Workshops
- Panel Discussions

Proposals may represent original research (original completed research) or innovations in medical education. Abstracts can focus on any level of medical education (UME pre-clerkship or clerkship, GME, CME, or across the continuum).

All abstracts must be submitted online no later than 11:59pm (EST) on November 12, 2018.

We recommend that you prepare your proposal in a word processing application and then paste each component into the corresponding online section. An abstract submission is considered a commitment to attend the meeting and present if accepted, and an acknowledgement of the costs associated with travel and meeting registration. Abstract decisions will be sent to the contact author in January 2018. All abstracts will undergo a peer-review process by at least three reviewers. Students, residents, fellows, and new investigators are strongly encouraged to submit their work.

For more information, please contact:
Program Chair: Geraud Plantegenest, MA
CGEA Chair: Caren M. Stalburg, MD, MA
