You are invited to participate in the Perinatal Mental Health Conference to be held at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers in Chicago, Illinois, November 6 – 8, 2013, by submitting a proposal and attending the meeting.
The theme of the conference is
‘Perinatal Mental Health: Optimizing Maternal Treatment to Improve Infant Outcomes.’ The goals of the proposed conference are: 1) Increase recognition that perinatal mental illness is a very common and understudied clinical problem; 2) Enhance interdisciplinary communication and research collaboration; 3) Focus on optimizing treatment for pregnant women and reducing adverse outcomes for infants; and 4) Provide training opportunities for new investigators.
Abstracts will be considered for the following Presentation Formats:
- Symposia Sessions - A chairperson must be named and submit an overall abstract for the session. The symposium must contain four speakers, each 20 minutes in length, with a final 10 minute discussion period lead by the chairperson. The Chair may also be a presenter. An overall abstract for the symposium, which provides the basis for the selection of presenters, must be provided along with an abstract for each presenter.
- Oral Paper Presentations may be submitted by individuals. Sessions will consist of four 15 minute presentations; each followed by a 5 minute discussion, and will be incorporated into a symposium with related presentations. If abstracts are not accepted for oral presentation, they will be automatically considered for poster presentation. To be considered, abstracts must be in the following format: Objective, Method, Results, Conclusion.
- Posters are visual displays of program descriptions, research findings, clinical information or other topic content of interest to the meeting theme. To be considered, abstracts must be in the following format: Objective, Method, Results, Conclusion.
No more than two abstracts per first author will be considered.
Each presenting author will be required to upload a disclosure at the time of submission.
