2018 Conference Dates
The HealthTrust University Conference will be held in Nashville, July 23 – 25, 2018.

Be a part of HealthTrust’s commitment to providing its members with quality education and best practices on clinical initiatives, therapeutic advancements, value-based purchasing, cost management and process improvements for the healthcare supply chain. Preference will be given to timely topics with up-to-date resources encompassing clinical/supply chain integration effectively impacting cost, quality and outcomes, incorporating the concepts of and/or innovative use of analytics, value analysis, patient satisfaction, alternative care or payment models and/or technology, as applicable.

Program Length and Speakers
Education and information sessions are 30 or 60 minutes in length, which includes content followed by a designated question-and-answer period. A 30-minute session can have no more than one presenter. A 60-minute session can have no more than two presenters.

Panel discussions are 120 minutes (two hours) in length, with a maximum of four presenters (typically three presenters and one moderator or four presenters and no moderator). All approved panel discussions will be scheduled for presentation at HTU on Tuesday afternoon, July 24, 2018. (No panels will be held on Monday or Wednesday.) The panel moderator will be the primary point of contact for all panel presentations and is responsible for the submission of all speaker and content materials both for the CFP and all HTU materials, should the panel be chosen for inclusion in this year’s program slate. If there is no moderator, please elect one panelist to serve in this capacity.

Session Accreditation
To help attendees advance their personal and professional development, HealthTrust University will offer continuing education credits, as appropriate, based on session content and intended audience.

Speaker Registration and Travel
Conference registration, hotel and travel expenses (per HealthTrust travel policy) will be covered for all approved speakers. (Full reimbursement policy will be provided upon program selection.)

Requirements & Selection Process
Proposals will be reviewed ONLY if they:
  1. Are 100 percent complete by deadline—Dec. 18, 2017. (No section should be left with “more to come” as the response.)
  2. Are educational, not promotional, in nature
  3. Demonstrate real take-home value for members
  4. Contain up-to-date and relevant resources
Selection will be based upon use of new and/or innovative methods, topic relevance, speaker qualifications, objectivity, practicality and take-home value for members. Final selections will be based on the best possible mix of topics and competencies for the various constituencies that will be attending the conference. A number of presentations may instead be selected to offer as webinars during the 2018 calendar year.

Deadlines for Presenters:
Proposals due -- Dec. 18, 2017
Speakers notified of decision -- Week of Feb. 5, 2018
FINAL, completed presentations* due to HealthTrust -- June 20, 2018
Presentations given -- During event: July 23—25, 2018
* Panelists will need to submit their slides to the session moderator for approval and combining into one deck well in advance of the June 20 HealthTrust due date for final decks. Contact your session moderator for exact date.
