National Strength and Conditioning Association
2013 Call for Research Abstracts Form
The NSCA is excited to again offer research abstract presentations at its National Conference. The number of abstracts presented each year continues to grow, with a record 200 abstracts presented at the 2012 conference. This year, the NSCA has added another poster presentation session, and will be offering four presentation times over two-days. Podium presentations will still be held in the AM for all three days, anchoring the research track for the National Conference.
Please review the Abstract Submission and Presentation Guidelines as they have changed for this year. The largest change this year is that abstracts will be either accepted or rejected; a decision of “accepted with revisions” will no longer be made. Additionally, authors that have had an abstract rejected will not have the opportunity to resubmit the rejected abstracted.
As with previous years, please do not submit an abstract if your attendance at the National Conference is questionable. Failure to present an accepted abstract may result in the primary and/or submitting author being prohibited from submitting or being the lead author of a submitted abstract to the NSCA National Conference for a period of one year. Abstracts that are accepted but not presented will not be published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. If your abstract is accepted and due to extenuating circumstances you will not be able to present, please notify the NSCA.
