The Program Committee of the Society of Black Academic Surgeons (SBAS) cordially welcomes your participation in its Twenty-ninth Annual Scientific Meeting.

We would like to invite you to submit abstracts for the upcoming SBAS meeting to be held on April 25–28, 2019 hosted by Weill Cornell Medical at the Barclay Intercontinental in New York City. We look forward to your contributions in basic science and clinical research. SBAS Members, residents, fellows, medical students and hospital/teaching faculty are invited to submit an abstract on the clinical or laboratory investigation of your choice. One is not required to be a SBAS member to submit an abstract.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING ABSTRACTS
All abstracts must be submitted by midnight (EST) November 30, 2018

Abstracts must not have been submitted to a journal for publication, published previously or presented at a national or regional meeting prior to the 2018 annual meeting. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference program booklet.

The Claude Organ Resident Paper Competition
Residents and fellows in training are encouraged to submit their work for The Claude Organ Resident Paper Competition. Abstracts should be identified for this category at the time of submission. There is a cash prize for the winner. Additionally all residents and fellows who are presenting, and who are in an ACGME approved residency program, are all eligible for the CORRA.

Poster Session
A poster session will be held on Friday, April 26th. Posters will be submitted electronicallY; presenters are expected to be present to discuss their work, which includes a 3-minute presentation and 2-minute question and answer.
