You are invited to submit an application to present a poster at the 2015 Annual Clinical Assembly (ACA) being held October 4-7, 2015 at the Chicago Marriott Magnificent Mile, Chicago, IL.

Poster Applications must be submitted no later than: June 15, 2015.

Please read the Poster Rules and Regulations before completing the online application, this information will NOT be mailed to you. You must complete one application for each poster submission. There is a limit of two posters per presenter. There is an application fee of $25 application per poster.

The ACA Scientific Poster Sessions Committee will review all complete poster applications and abstracts. You will be notified by June 30, 2015 if your poster has been accepted. After review of the abstracts, the committee also will select up to 6 poster applicants in each discipline for podium presentations— in addition to their exhibit hall poster presentations. You will be notified no later than June 30, 2015, if your poster application has been selected for a podium presentation, which will include a short PowerPoint presentation (approximately 10 minutes to include PowerPoint and Q&A) and will be scheduled during your discipline’s educational program at the ACA. A specific time and additional guidelines will be included in the acceptance letter from the committee. If you do not wish to have your abstract reviewed for a possible podium presentation, please indicate this in the online application.

Research must be complete: Poster applications will only be accepted if research is complete. Applications must be submitted by June 15. If the research is not complete by this date, please indicate this in the application and you will have until June 27 to submit a revised abstract. Abstracts will not be reviewed for poster presentations if research is not complete by June 15.

Tips for completing the online application: Please make sure to edit your entries - the information will be included in the ACA on-site program as well as the conference mobile app as submitted. You can copy and paste sections of your abstract into the online form. Note that the maximum word count is 275 words total; each section are as follows:

Resident Training Requirements: For residents whose training is evaluated by the ACOS, and with the approval of their training program director, preparation of a poster session for the ACA may be done in order to meet the annual report requirements for a scholarly activity for the 2015-2016 training year. Refer to the residency training requirements on the ACOS website for details.

Awards: The ACA Scientific Poster Sessions Committee will judge the posters presentations presented at the ACA as well as the podium presentations. ACOS may award cash prizes for first and second place in each surgical specialty for both the poster presentations and the podium presentations. You must be an ACOS member to qualify for an award.
