Deadline EXTENDED: October 19, 2014 at 11:59 PM EST
Goals & Objectives
ASAM members and non-members are invited to submit abstracts and presentation proposals for poster presentations, focus sessions, workshops, and symposiums (pre-approved). ASAM encourages young investigators, researchers and physicians from diverse organizations and fields to submit. Abstracts and presentation proposals should be original, new work with up-to-date data. Presentation proposals could also include original presentation formats and teaching methods. ASAM welcomes submissions on all aspect of addiction.
The Annual Conference goals and objectives for accepted abstracts and presentation proposals are:
- To present the best new scientific research available
- To present the best practices, treatments, tools and modalities in all areas of addiction medicine
- To bring science into clinical practice
- For learners to experience concise, interactive, case-based and/or creative teaching methods
Note: One of ASAM’s objectives for the 2015 Annual Conference is to increase the number of scientific and medical posters. In order to accommodate late-breaking scientific research, ASAM will be re-opening the Call for Abstracts in late 2014 – early 2015, for poster presentations only. We encourage more participants to submit abstracts for poster presentations.
