The 2019 Western Group Collaborative Spring Conference will highlight the following themes with special emphasis on the collaborative relationships between Admissions, Student Affairs and Medical Education that contribute to success along the full spectrum of the student experience.

Inclusion:
Creating a culture and climate that values diverse experiences and perspectives
Inquiry:
Encouraging an educational community that supports discovery and evidence-based approaches
Innovation:
Fostering an environment that values forward thinking and creative solutions in the pursuit of excellence.
Investment:
Developing, cultivating and committing the resources necessary for long-term success.

The WGEA/WGSA/WOSR invites abstracts for oral abstracts, posters, workshops, panels and small group discussions for the 2019 annual conference. Proposals may represent completed original research or innovations in medical education. Abstracts can focus on any level of medical education (UME preclerkship or clerkship, GME, CPD, or across the continuum). All abstracts should be submitted no later than November 12th, 2018 11:59pm EST.

We recommend that you prepare your proposal in a word processing application and then paste each component into the corresponding online section. An abstract submission is considered a commitment to attend the meeting and present if accepted, and an acknowledgement of the costs associated with travel and meeting registration. Abstract decisions will be sent to the contact author in January 2019. All abstracts will undergo a peer-review process by at least three reviewers. Students, residents, fellows, and new investigators are strongly encouraged to submit their work.

For more information, please contact:
WGEA Conference Co-Chair: Timothy Baker
WGSA Conference Co-Chair: Cherie Singer
WGSA Chair: Karen Restifo
WGEA Chair: Cha Chi Fung
