Welcome to the 2019 AIUM Abstract Submission Site
The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine invites all members and nonmembers to submit abstracts for the 2019 AIUM Convention. The meeting will be held April 6–10, 2019 at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek in Orlando, FL. Please visit our website for more information.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is Monday, October 8, 2018, at 12 pm Eastern Time. Once you begin an abstract submission, you will be able to save your work and return to complete it until the submission deadline; we encourage all submitters to begin the process early!

New for 2019! There are three formats for abstract submission:

Oral (including New Investigators)
Basic Science category presentations total 12 minutes (10-minute presentation, 2-minute Q&A). Any other presentation category totals 7 minutes (5-minute presentation, 2-minute Q&A). The New Investigator award competition encourages New Investigators to become active within the AIUM and ultrasound research. There is a monetary award associated with the New Investigator award (up to $500).

Electronic poster
E-posters are not presented orally. Posters will need to be uploaded on a presentation computer. Prepare a 10-slide maximum presentation to include: Title with author affiliations and email addresses (1 slide); Background and Introduction (1 slide); Materials and Methods (1 slide); Results with images (6 slides); Conclusions (1 slide). On your Conclusions slide, please include contact information so that attendees can get in touch with you onsite at the Convention (ie, Twitter, text, etc).

Oral then Electronic poster (includes New Investigators for oral only)
Submit your abstract to be first considered as an oral presentation and if not accepted, it will automatically become an E-poster.

IMPORTANT! You will be notified about the status of your abstract in early December. Presenting authors whose abstract is accepted for an oral presentation MUST REGISTER as an attendee for the 2019 AIUM Convention by January, 2, 2019, pay the appropriate registration fee, and present the abstract at the assigned date and time. Changes to the schedule will be made on a case by case basis. At least one of the authors of an E-poster MUST REGISTER as an attendee for the 2019 AIUM Convention by January 3, 2019, for the abstract to be included in the program.

All accepted abstracts will appear as part of the Official Proceedings, a supplement of the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine.
