Welcome to the ASAM Annual Conference Call for Abstracts
EXTENDED DEADLINE: Friday, January 27, 2019 at 11:59pm ET

Goals & Objectives
ASAM members and non-members are invited to submit abstracts for poster presentations ONLY. ASAM encourages young investigators, researchers and physicians from diverse organizations and fields to submit.

The Annual Conference goals and objectives for accepted abstracts are: Please Note: If you submitted a poster abstract to ASAM's first round of abstracts and it was not accepted, it may be resubmitted with changes. It will not be considered again without changes. All poster abstracts must have results at the time of submission.

Submission Information
For additional information, submitters, presenters, and authors should review the full list of submission requirements, submission categories, submission topics, and abstract awards prior to submitting an abstract.

Review Process
All submissions are reviewed by the ASAM Annual Conference Program Planning Committee for quality, scientific value, interest to conference registrants, and overall appropriateness for inclusion in the program.

Abstracts will be evaluated based on the submission criteria using a scale ranging from 0 (lowest) to 5 (highest). Abstracts will be reviewed by Planning Committee Members and the average score will be used to rank the priority of the presentation.

Committee members will also review the financial disclosures of the abstract authors in cases when there is a concern. Having a financial disclosure will NOT preclude an abstract’s acceptance.

Notification Letters
All notifications, of acceptance or non-acceptance, will be sent by email. It is the submitter’s responsibility to ensure his/her email address is correct and current. ASAM is not responsible for notification emails not received due to incorrect contact information.

All abstract presenters will be asked to confirm receipt of their notification email and officially accept the invitation to present their abstract. If you do not receive a notification email by the end of February 2019, contact the Education Department, education@asam.org, immediately to confirm acceptance or non-acceptance of your submission.
