2017 Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards
Submissions for the 2017 Coverings Installation & Design (CID) Awards competition are open to architects, designers, builders, contractors, distributors, retailers, installers and other professionals who demonstrate design and/or installation excellence in residential and commercial projects, giving special recognition to stunning stone & tile. Regardless of who submits the entry, both installer and designer/architect will be recognized for winning projects. Collaboration between installer and designer to submit the project is recommended but not required.

In effort to keep judging anonymous, please leave out any mention of the designer, installer or others involved with the project in the narrative. The only place the projects should be identified are on the initial Entrant and Participant Details page.

Projects will be judged and awarded for both technical installation and design. Projects will be judged on their levels of creativity, craftsmanship, and outstanding use of materials and achievement in the use of tile or stone within the residential and commercial project categories. Of particular interest are projects that demonstrate an original or unusual use of materials, incorporate an innovative technology, reflect installation excellence or successfully combine aesthetics with function in a unique and interesting way.

An independent panel of judges for all award categories will evaluate entries using a blind format based on Excellence in Execution + Installation, Inspiring + Original Use and Overall Design + Purpose. Decisions are at the discretion of the jury.

The installer and designer of the prize winning projects will each receive $2,500 and a one-night hotel stay in Orlando. Additional projects may be recognized for categories including International, Artistic Use of Tile/Stone, Institutional, Community Project, etc., based on submissions received. In addition, winners will be invited to the coveted Coverings VIP Press Dinner.

Residential ($2,500 for designer and installer)
Commercial ($2,500 for designer and installer) CID AWARDS CONFERENCE SESSION & VIDEO WALL
Winners will be invited to participate in a conference session where their project will be discussed. In addition, winning entries will be featured on a video wall and on meter boards at Coverings.
