The AIA Kansas Design Excellence Awards recognize outstanding architecture from the state of Kansas. The focus of these awards is to: encourage and recognize excellence in architecture; elevate public awareness for architecture; and to recognize the architects, consultants, contractors and owners whose work brings excellence to the built environment.

Requirements:

1. Entries must be designed by AIA Kansas Architects/Architectural Firms, Associates or AIA Member Students;
2. Projects can be built anywhere in the world;
3. Projects previously honored with an award in a specific category of the AIA Kansas Design Awards Programs are not eligible to enter that same category again;
4. There are no limits to firm/individual submissions;
5. Projects are to have been completed within the past five years;
6. Award recipients will be publicly announced during the AIA Kansas Design Excellence Awards Celebration on Thursday, October 19 at The Oread Hotel in Lawrence;
7. A representative of any award winning entry MUST register for the conference to accept the firm’s award, leading to a more active celebration of those recognized.

Each entry will consist of:

1. Completion of a series of questions regarding the project;
2. At least one (1) jpeg of the entry project (to be used for publication);
3. PowerPoint of the project including 12 images, the total not to exceed 10 MB. The PowerPoint template will be downloaded, images/concepts inserted and/or formatted and then uploaded within this website in PDF format.

Entry Fees:
AIA Members - $160.00/entry
Non Members - $300.00/entry
AIAS Student Entry Fees $50.00/entry

Deadline
All submissions must be received before 11:59 pm (Central Time). The submission deadline date will be strictly observed, with no exception.

Other Information

1. Each entry will be assigned a unique entry number that should accompany each submission;
2. Entrants may submit more than one project;
3. Projects must be entered one at a time;
4. No more than one entry is allowed per each credit card transaction;
5. Entry fees are nonrefundable and must be paid online;
6. You may continue to revisit and revise your entry until the deadline, but no refunds will be issued for submissions that are disqualified, late or incomplete.
