Welcome to the 2016 INACSL Call for Abstracts
Welcome to the abstract collection site for the INACSL Conference, 2016. INACSL is now accepting abstracts for our conference in Grapevine, TX. For more information about the conference click here.

Online submissions for pre-conference and conference will be accepted from October 6 through midnight (Pacific Time) on November 16. Works in progress will be considered if results will be reported at the conference. In order to streamline the submission process we’ve provided an overview of requirements and tips below. Please note that failure to complete the required documentation by the due date may result in your abstract being delayed or potentially rejected.
  1. All authors:
    1. Need to create a unique login and password to enter the site.
      1. Once your account is set up you will receive a confirmation email from support@conferenceabstracts.com. If you do not see the confirmation please check your junk mailbox. Accepting the confirmation email will ensure that you receive future email confirmations and communications through your email system’s firewall.
    2. The author submitting the abstract is designated as the “presenting author”. There may only be one presenting author per abstract submission.
    3. All additional authors are designated as co-authors .
    4. Each abstract may have a maximum of 7 co-authors.
    5. Presenting authors provide email information to create co-authors. The email provided will only be used to contact co-authors to complete their required materials.
    6. All communication regarding the status of an abstract will occur between the presenting author and INACSL.
    7. All authors are required to complete the following forms:
      1. A Bio/Conflict of Interest/Disclosure form – 2016 Bio/COI Form
      2. Statement of work – 2016Statement of Work
  2. In addition to the documents listed in #1.g. all presenting authors need to complete the abstract submission and an Education Plan. The following information is required on the Education Plan:
    1. Title
    2. Select level of presentation
    3. Current state - what is currently known about your topic, or is this something all practitioners should know
    4. Desirable/Achievable state - what do you want your participants to gain at the conclusion of the session? What are objectives for the session?
    5. Gap - select knowledge, psychomotor, skill, etc.
    6. Purpose - begin your purpose statement according to the following example:
      1. “The purpose of this activity is to introduce the INACSL Standards of Best Practice: Simulation.”
      2. Your purpose should be no more then 1-2 sentences summarizing the session
    7. Learners Objectives - We recommend no more than 2-3 objectives for a 25 minute session. Each objective has a content section and references the specific author addressing that content.
  3. The following criteria are used to review all abstract submissions
    1. Research/Non-Research Presentation Rubric
    2. Poster Rubric
An invitation to present at the conference will be emailed to the presenting author at the beginning of February 2016. The authors of accepted abstracts are expected to attend the conference taking place in Grapevine, TX from June 15-18, 2016. Click here for information on registration and lodging costs.

We understand that there is some redundancy in the information required for submission. However, as an ANCC provider of CNE for INACSL we are required to collect the information in multiple locations in order to remain compliant with regulations.
