Breakfast Rounds MiniClinics String of Pearls

Scientific Presentations
The Scientific Program Committee of the Council on Annual Session is accepting proposals to review for the following educational formats:

Breakfast Rounds: Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24
Lead a 60 minute interactive presentation on a topic of interest to pediatric dentists; be sure to allow enough time for discussion among the group. Share your idea with up to 15 colleagues over a hot breakfast. Sessions will begin at 7:00am on Saturday, with a second program on Sunday. Applications are due September 8, 2014. Notification of acceptance will be sent in October via email.

MiniClinics: Saturday, May 23
45 minute presentation to allow a Q&A discussion per speaker, up to 7 presentations based on a clinical topic geared toward pediatric dentistry. Areas of interest include: early malocclusion management, clinical techniques using new technologies, legal issues, practice management and new developments in pediatric dentistry. Applications are due September 8, 2014. Notification of acceptance will be sent in October via email.

String of Pearls: Sunday, May 24
15 minute presentation per speaker, up to 9 presentations per session. In this format, each presenter will bring a single idea or concept and will share it with the group. These little "pearls" provide members with a wealth of information that often can often be utilized immediately. Keep your presentation focused on the topic and allow for a question or two from the audience! Applications are due September 8, 2014. Notification of acceptance will be sent in October via email.

Application Requirements
You must be a member of the AAPD in good standing in order to present at the Annual Session. Only online submissions will be reviewed; incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Disclosures
If you are accepted as a presenter, you will be asked to identify any financial interest related to your presentation.

Handouts
AAPD must approve any handout materials for participants, which must be submitted electronically to AAPD Headquarters via the Conference Harvester by Monday, March 2, 2015.

Presentations
MiniClinic and String of Pearls PowerPoint presentations must be submitted by April 15, 2015. All presentations will be downloaded onto one laptop for these sessions. There will be no AV for the Breakfast Round presentations
