General Information
Individuals are encouraged to submit original research, teaching, and extension papers. Oral papers should consist of original, completed work that has not been accepted for publication in a journal.
Authors need to be aware of patent considerations before submitting abstracts for publication.
After the deadline, it will not be possible to submit abstracts. When you submit your abstract, you will be given an abstract ID number and password. Make a note of these; they will allow you to revise your submitted abstract at any time before the deadline.
Please have the abstract ID number on hand when contacting the ASAS office with questions or concerns regarding your abstract submissions.
New for 2019
• Abstract reviews will move to an accept/reject model, with the decision by the program Committee being based on the simple review statement “Is there correct use of the scientific method”.
• A $25 abstract submission fee will be required. The system will not let you proceed to the confirmation step until an abstract is paid for.
• Abstract submission will not include requesting oral or poster presentation. Program Committee Chairs will determine the best venue (oral or poster) for the abstract. The only exception will be the student competitions -Undergrad poster and oral as well as M.S. and Ph. D. oral competition.
