UPDATE: The submission site is now closed and PCMA is reviewing all of the stories we've received. Thank you for your input! Status notification letters will go out by the end of August.
We want to hear YOUR story! Share the strategic objectives behind something new and innovative that your organization implemented. How did you get stakeholders on board? What were some roadblocks you had to overcome along the way? Did it go as intended? And most importantly, how can our Convening Leaders participants learn from your story and take new ideas back to their own organizations?
What makes a great submission?
FRESH
Content that is thought-provoking with innovative ideas that meet the needs for senior-level event professionals.
SPECIFIC
Detailed accounts relating to one of the
topic areas identified by the Convening Leaders Content Committee.
STRATEGIC
Advanced take-aways for participants come from learning about your strategy; we are not looking for a tactical story. Explore the “why and how” of your story.
SCALABLE
The ability to apply or adapt elements of your story for the wide variety of Convening Leaders participants, some with very tight budgets and other limiting factors.
FLEXIBILE
We may ask that you co-present. PCMA will work with all co-presenters to ensure a cohesive session which includes audience participation throughout.
VIDEO
If you have a video or can create a short clip, we’d love to see how you perform in front of the camera. This is encouraged but not required.
TOPIC ALIGNMENT
The Convening Leaders Content Committee identified specific
topic areas representing current industry issues on which the program will focus. Please review the list of
topic areas to determine which topic(s) best align with your story. If none of these topics apply to your submission,
click here to submit a general proposal.
Can suppliers submit?
YES! We want to hear your stories too! Avoid any resemblance of a sales pitch or product promotion. Focus on the subject matter, not any particular vendor(s). Our participants love to hear the client’s perspective. Plan to bring a client to co-present; you do not need to confirm their participation until your submission is accepted.
When will I hear back?
PCMA will review your submission and send a letter indicating whether or not it has been selected at the conclusion of our review process, in August.
