Welcome to the 2019 SPA Biennial Meeting Call for Papers Site
The submission portal will open on October 1 for 2019 SPA Biennial proposals and will accept the following session types –

  • individually volunteered papers,
  • individual posters,
  • individual flash presentation (5-minute talk),
  • oral presentation (organized paper) sessions, and
  • roundtables.

    The submission portal will close promptly at 3 pm Eastern Time on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.

    Submission Eligibility and FAQs:

    • SPA membership:
      You do not have to be a member of SPA to attend the meeting or to submit an abstract for meeting consideration.
    • 2019 SPA Biennial Meeting registration:
      Meeting registration IS required at the time of proposal submission, and all session participants will need to have registered for 2019 SPA Biennial no later than 3 pm ET, December 19.       Failure to register by the deadline will result in the inability to submit the submission.
    • Questions:

    • Role Limit Policy: Conference attendees may be a presenter on only one submission. There is no limit on how many times attendees may serve as a discussant, chair, or organizer.

    Please use this submission portal to provide your abstract and submission details. Submissions submitted outside of this portal or emailed directly to SPA or AAA are ineligible and will not be considered for the 2019 SPA Biennial Meeting Program.

    Timeline:

    • Monday, October 1: Submission portal opens for abstract submissions
    • Wednesday, December 19 (3 pm ET): Submission portal closes for abstract submissions
    • Friday, February 1, 2019: Accept/decline notifications sent to submitters

    >> Click "Login" below to sign in with your AnthroGateway username (email address) and password to begin.

    >> Click "Create Now" if you do not have an AAA profile. You will be directed to the AAA website to create an AnthroGateway account, and then you'll revisit the abstract scorecard to log in with your AAA information.
